Dark, in my words

sceor : dark

The Illunse word for dark is sceor. Sceor is an unusual last name. In Old English scéor, but preferably scúr, means shower, tempest, or storm of rain, snow, or hail.

This word is a mixture of the Latin word for dark obscurus (dark, dim) and the Old English word for dark deorc (dark, gloomy).
