Willow, in my words + willows

wilics : willow

The Illunse word for willow is wilics. Wilics is a very rare last name.

This word is a mixture of the Old English words for willow, welig (a willow) and wíðig (a withy, willow; used in compound words such as willow-bark), and the Latin word for willow, salix (willow, a willow branch) (which I transliterate to salics).

This is a new word. If I decide to use the letter X in Illunse, this word would be wilix.

wilicsas : willows

The Illunse word for willows (nominative plural) is wilicsas.

Willows in Latin is salices. Willows in Old English is weligas and wíðigas.
